Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
One of the most popular modern foie gras products in the market, duck foie gras is a more affordable option over goose foie gras, simply because ducks are easier to raise than geese. Smooth and delicate, this block of duck foie gras is fully cooked, ready to eat right off of the can. Savor simply, sliced or spread over toast, or topping a salad. Pair with a fine Zinfandel. Made in France by the foie gras giant, Rougie.

5 out of 5 stars Don't listen to others.   November 22, 2007

After seeing the low ratings, I saw that it was all about someones personal agenda, not about the product itself. So as one review stated, I did some research on the product and it seems that the fowl are well fed before the end. In a video the "animal" would shake-off the feeding as nothing. It did not seem to be "horribly tortured," as one of the other reviews reported. (cut to the chase)
I tried the product and found it to be very very good, but, like most gourmet food, it's not something I would want to eat everyday. In the end I'll order it again but for some special activity.

Before buying this product go online and do some research on this product and the truth behind it, you will not buy it after that.

I suppose there are wealthy sociopaths who think this is sexy food. The taste of torture is as sexy as the smell of excrement in your toothpaste. Amazon should be ashamed to sell this evil product.
